Tsonga vs. Federer, Rogers Cup Final

Preview

The aura of invincibility that once had opponents in awe of Federer has been fading in recent years, this could be the edge that Tsonga needs to get the win. Their head to head favors Federer 11:4; Federer took the previous 2014 encounters and in 2013, Tsonga took their only encounter.

Maybe we should just throw the head-to-head ratio out the window, as Tsonga has been defying the statistics all week. However, it is a known fact that Federer will come to play and Tsonga will have to bring his “A” game to get the win.  In any event, we hope it is a competitive match where both men play at their highest level at the same time.
