Medvedev Jumps Up The Rankings

WEEK: 01.09.2017

Daniil Medvedev is the mover of the week.  His ranking jumped 34 spots after he reached the final of the Chennai Open in India.  With the first Major of the season rapidly approaching, many players are trying to get some much needed match practice after the off-season to assess the status of their game.  Some are hoping they won’t have to do much tweaking, while others have been forced to the realization that they will definitely have to make some serious improvements between now and Sunday if they hope to go far in the draw. Medvedev will be happy with his form though after his impressive run at the Chennai Open.  Although he did not win the title, his excellent performance should give him a huge boost of confidence going into the Australian Open just six days away.
