Winning that first career title on Tour is what every tennis player dreams of; yet, getting to that first final is not easy. It is doubly special to win your first title on your first attempt and that is what Marco Cecchinato did at the Hungarian Open. It was the first final appearance on the ATP World Tour for the Italian and he made it count. Eight years after he turned professional, he claimed his first title.

Rafael Nadal made more history on clay this month. He now has won two tournaments, Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters and Barcelona Open, each eleven times. In addition, he extended his consecutive sets won on clay streak to forty-six (he now holds the record).
