Timea Babos’ Ranking Takes a Dive

Timea Babos

Timea Babos gets the honor as mover of the week; however, it is not due to a rise in her ranking. Unfortunately, because she was unable to defend her Taipei City title points from last season, she now finds herself on the brink of falling out of the top hundred. It certainly has not helped her ranking that she has had a string of early round losses. While she continues to do well in doubles, Babos does not have the same consistency in results on the singles court. Currently twenty-five years old, she has enough experience now to make her move on the singles scene if she wants to be known for her singles career rather than her doubles career. Perhaps splitting her time between doubles and singles is having a detrimental impact on her singles game; however, since she continues to do so well in doubles it may be difficult for her to walk away and put all her focus in singles.
