Nick Kyrgios gets the honors this week because he not only won the Abierto Mexicano title over the weekend, he defeated three top ten players en route to the title. The Australian is no stranger to beating the top guys. Once ranked as high as thirteen, Kyrgios is known for his lethal serve and forehand. If he is fully engaged, the Australian can beat anyone. The question always remains though, which Kyrgios will show up. Yes, he has been plagued by various injuries for such a young person; however, injury is not the only thing preventing him from being amongst the top ten. If he can keep his head in the game and avoid anymore injuries, look for Kyrgios to eventually join the top ten members.

ATP: there is a new member in the top ten, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The twenty-year-old Greek becomes the first Greek player ranked in the top ten at #10. The top three members maintained their exact positions from the previous week along with the #8 and #9 members. Roger Federer moved up three spots to #4. Juan Martin del Potro, Kevin Anderson and Kei Nishikori each fell one spot to #5, #6 and #7 respectively.
WTA: there were no changes in the top ten members; they all remained the same and maintained their exact positions from the previous week.
