Congratulations to Lorenzo Musetti on breaking through the top ten barrier. His performance at the Mutua Madrid Open has catapulted him to a career high ranking of number nine. Now Musetti will begin to feel the pressure of expectation as a top ten player.

Musetti Has Always Had Game

Lorenzo Musetti can play exquisite tennis, what he lacks is consistency and intensity. That is his style. Nevertheless, with his arsenal of skills, he can do so much more. Let us hope this new identity as a top ten player will inspire him to consistently bring the winning focus and mindset to each match he plays.

ATP & WTA Top Ten Ranking Changes

ATP: there were several positional changes, and one new member was added to the top ten. Welcome Lorenzo Musetti to the top ten at #9. Jack Draper climbed one spot to #5. Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur each fell one spot to #6 and #8, respectively. Casper Ruud climbed eight spots back into the top ten at #7. Holger Rune fell one spot to #10. The top four players currently are: [1] Jannik Sinner; [2] Alexander Zverev; [3] Carlos Alcaraz; and [4] Taylor Fritz.

WTA: there were several positional changes in the top ten. Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula traded places to #3 and #4, respectively. Jasmine Paolini and Madison Keys also traded places to #5 and #6, respectively. Emma Navarro and Paula Badosa also traded places to #9 and #10, respectively. The top four players currently are: [1] Aryna Sabalenka; [2] Iga Swiatek; [3] Coco Gauff; and [4] Jessica Pegula.

The Other Tennis News

The are currently four American women in the top ten: Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, [6] Madison Keys, and [9] Emma Navarro.

Players who have fallen out of the top ten include Daniil Medvedev, who fell one spot to #11 and Andrey Rublev, who fell nine spots to #17.
