[7] Madison Keys had an easy straight sets victory, 6-1, 6-3, against Katie Boulter. Keys will face fellow American, Sofia Kenin in the third round. Keys leads their H2H 3:1, with Keys winning the last three encounters in straight sets. The only match that went to three sets was the very first match these two played in 2019.
Madison Keys Leads Head-to-Head Against Kenin
That statistic is misleading because while Keys leads 3:0 on hard court, Kenin leads 1:0 on clay. It has been a while since Kenin got that victory in 2019. However, while the H2H favors Madison Keys, Kenin moves much better on clay than Keys and this could make it a difficult match for the taller opponent.
