What has happened to Barbora Krejcikova? She is lacking confidence. It is constantly amazing how tenuous confidence can be, especially in sports. We notice it more in sports, because they are on display and there is nowhere to hide. By the way, she also has three Australian Open mixed doubles titles. She finished last year ranked at number ten in singles but is has been a year of inconsistent performance from the Czech player. Mentally she is thinking a lot of things that are leading her to play poorly on the court.

Will Barbora Krejcikova Find Her Game This Season?

Her ranking took a beating because she lost in the third round of Wimbledon to American, Emma Navarro. With so many points to defend, Krejcikova was feeling the pressure to elevate her game. Unfortunately, she could not, and the result was a massive loss of points, which translated into a drastic drop in her ranking. She broke down in tears during her match, a testament that she wanted desperately to win. However, it is a mindset issue that she needs to address if she wants to get back to her top level.
