Terence Atmane has been honing his skills and building his confidence on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Circuit since 2019. Interestingly, Atmane lost in two tiebreak sets to Taylor Fritz at the Shanghai ATP Masters1000 tournament in 2024. He is obviously a quick study, because at the recent Cincinnati ATP Masters1000 tournament he dispatched Fritz, the fourth ranked player, in three sets. Atmane also pushed the number one ranked player to a tiebreak set before losing in the semifinals.
Terence Atmane Has An Interesting Serve
It was interesting to watch his service motion. His ball toss is so low and the speed with which he hits the ball is so fast, the opponent cannot get a read on where he is going to serve. The question though is how sustainable is that style of serve for his career long term. The Frenchman is probably not worrying about that right now and is more than likely celebrating his meteoric rise into the top hundred. He is another player for you to keep your eyes on.
