Elena Rybakina made headline news when she won Wimbledon in 2022. Since then, she has been in and out of the top ten. She had no major wins this season going into the WTA Finals. The Kazakhstani was determined to end the season on a high, and that she did.
Elena Rybakina Ignored Their H2H
Aryna Sabalenka led their H2H 8:5. However, desire and determination can overcome the H2H record. Elena Rybakina proved that by defeating Sabalenka 6-3, 7-6(0) to claim her first WTA Finals trophy and improve the H2H statistics to 8:6.
