Men’s Semifinal: [CR1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. [CR7] Kei Nishikori (JPN)

It was not a very interesting match. Nishikori felt the pressure of the moment and made too many unforced errors.  He was inconsistent and it was clear early on that if the back and forth trend continued it would be to Djokovic’s advantage, which it was and he won easily 6-2, 6-3.

There were a few interesting points; however, Nishikori did not do enough to make the match competitive and although Djokovic had a shaky moment, he played consistently better to not be affected by that one lapse in concentration.

Tomorrow’s final should be interesting; can [CR10] Milos Raonic (CAN) continue playing at such a high level?
