The two biggest upsets of the day were Cilic and McHale; yet, when you considered that they have been playing a lot of tennis recently without much rest coming into Roland Garros, it is understandable.  Makes you wonder why they did not take into consideration that the second Major was coming up, especially difficult because it’s on clay and points are not easily won. They peaked pre-maturely and may have over-estimated their level of fitness.  Keep an eye on Andy Murray’s match; he’s down two sets to one to Radek Stepanek.  Stepanek pushed him earlier this month in Madrid, took the first set before Murray won in three.
