Movers Of The Week

All tennis players look forward to the majors, they are the four biggest opportunities to boost their rankings; however, if you do poorly your ranking can remain unchanged or be drastically affected depending on what you did at that tournament the previous year. Many players will be quite happy today when they see how much they climbed up the rankings and amongst those will be Tennys Sandgren, Ons Jabeur and Sofia Kenin.

Now each must continue the hard work and play consistently at this level to maintain their ranking or improve it. Of course, they will all be trying to improve their ranking as the ultimate goals for any tennis player is to win titles and get to number one. Tennis is a demanding sport; it requires mental tenacity to fight week in and week out to win. Thus, climbing the rankings is great, but if you do nothing to keep growing, your ranking will fall again, and every tennis player knows this. The battle is to stay healthy and be consistent. The mental strength to do this week in and week out is what separates the top ten players from the rest.
