[19] Simona Halep also started her match well, but nineteen-year-old Qinwen Zheng was up for the challenge. Zheng turned the tables on the former French Open champion, winning 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. [22] Nikoloz Basilashvili was upended by Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets. Mikael Ymer upset [29] Daniel Evans, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Irina-Camelia Begu upset [30] Ekaterina Alexandrova in three sets.

I am curious to see if [27] Amanda Anisimova can keep this form up; she will have a stern test against Karolina Muchova.
