There are three American Women currently in the top ten on the WTA Tour. Impressive work for all three women to start the 2023 season in positions of authority. How will this impact their performances at the first major of the 2023 season, the Australian Open? Coco Gauff starts the season with another title.

Fritz Carries The Flag For American Men’s Tennis

On the men’s side, Taylor Fritz continues his stay in the top ten at number nine. Fritz, along with his teammates were instrumental in Team USA winning the inaugural event played in Australia. Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, and Frances Tiafoe also played important roles in the victory. Team USA defeated Team Italy for the United Cup trophy.

Which American Woman Will Rule The Season?

It is a new season, and it seems that so much has changed in the tennis world. Gaining traction or having consistency with all the stuff going on in the world is also difficult. It makes you realize how much these tennis players are coping with on the tennis courts. It is not just about tennis folks, these players like all of us must learn how to compartmentalize their lives to perform effectively.

ATP: there were some positional changes, with Andrey Rublev climbing two spots to #6. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Daniil Medvedev each fell once spot to #7 and #8, respectively. The current top four players are: [1] Carlos Alcaraz; [2] Rafael Nadal; [3] Casper Ruud; and [4] Stefanos Tsitsipas.

WTA: Madison Keys is back in the top ten; she replaces Simona Halep, who fell out of the top ten, at #10. The current top four players remain the same: [1] Iga Swiatek; [2] Ons Jabeur; [3] Jessica Pegula; and [4] Caroline Garcia.
