Cristina Bucsa Bags First WTA Singles Title

Cristina Bucsa

Cristina Bucsa got to her first singles final in 2025. While she was not able to win the title, it was proof that she could get there. Although she is more prolific in doubles, every tennis player wants to win at least one singles title. Bucsa joined the exclusive group of tennis players over the weekend with her victory in Merida. En route to the final she dispatched a top ten player, Jasmine Paolini. Now she can relax and play her game, knowing that she has what it takes to compete at the top.

Who Is Cristina Bucsa?

Only she can answer that question. What we know about her is that she is twenty-eight-years old and loves to read. Cristina Bucsa also likes to take walks in nature, which resonated with me because that is something I like to do, since I find it very soothing to the nervous system. Interestingly, the Spaniard’s favorite surface is grass. She was born in Moldova. Bucsa turned professional in 2016. It has taken her twelve years to win her first singles title and that is what we call perseverance.
