Murray did not anticipate this level of competition from Coric, or perhaps he thought he could handle him. Yet, to compete at a high level daily requires focus and today was one of those days.  Murray appeared disgruntled and distracted, more so than his norm.  Coric calmly kept his cool and played consistent tennis.  There were errors, to be expected given the occasion; however, he maintained his level, while Murray struggled to find his.

Coric outplayed Murray and many of their extended rallies were exquisite.  Murray realized that he was in trouble in the second set, unfortunately for him, he could not elevate his game and failed to stop the Croat. The teenager is impressing and confusing his elder opponents. Coric continues his accumulation of victories over top ten players and moves on to the next round with a 6-1, 6-3 drubbing of Murray.
