Claire Liu Makes A Big Move In The Rankings

Claire Liu

Claire Liu had a very productive and rewarding weekend. The twenty-one year old, won the WTA 125 tournament held in Paris. En route to this title she took out the often dangerous, Kaia Kanepi, who was seeded number one.

Liu Playing Well On Clay Before Roland Garros

Claire Liu was upsetting the seeds left and right and that included the third and fourth seeds. This is a good result for the American, with Roland Garros six days away. Hopefully, she will be playing since she was ranked out of the top hundred and may not have gotten a direct entry. I did not see her name in the draw for the qualifying rounds.

Will Claire Liu Be In The Main Draw?

If she is in the main draw, this title should serve her well since she won five of her six matches in straight sets. Therefore, she should be okay for any upcoming battles at the French Open. This was the first significant title for the American.
