Injury took a toll on Dominic Thiem, not only physically, but also emotionally and mentally. If that was not enough, his ranking also fell. Once ranked as high as number three and expected to take over the throne as the “king of clay,” Thiem is simply happy to get some wins under his belt.

Dominic Thiem Gained Some Traction In The Rankings

Slowly, but surely, Dominic Thiem is finding his confidence and his game. However, it is not easy as it takes a lot out of him physically. Following his early dismal in Vienna, Thiem is calling it quits for the 2022 season and focusing on preparations for the 2023 season. He is currently ranked one hundred and if it holds, he should have direct entry into the 2023 Australian Open.
