Max Purcell Breaks The Top Fifty Barrier

Max Purcell

Max Purcell is a twenty-five year old Australian. He turned professional in 2016. The Australian has been picking up steam in the last two years. Some players take time for their game to mature. We cannot always have players like Rafael Nadal or Carlos Alcaraz. At the recent Cincinnati ATP Masters1000 event, Purcell upset a current top ten player, Casper Ruud, to get to the quarter-finals.

Purcell Has The Weapons To Be A Threat At US Open

Max Purcell pushed the current world number one, Carlos Alcaraz, to three sets. The Australian is knocking on the door. With his big serve, he is a legitimate threat on any surface. With the US Open less than a week away, one wonders how far he will go in the draw. It is not a lack of talent that prevents most tennis players from succeeding, rather it is their belief and their attitude.
