Kudos to Katie Boulter For A Hard Fought Victory

Katie Boulter did it the hard way in her final against Marta Kostyuk. Despite dropping the first set in a hard-fought battle, the British player was not discouraged. Boulter dug deep and came back firing on all cylinders in the final two sets. She out played and outsmarted the Ukrainian. In the end it was all Boulter [5-7, 6-2, 6-2].

Katie Boulter At A Career High Ranking

The reward for Katie Boulter for winning the San Diego title was two-fold: money and a career high ranking of twenty-seven. Boulter’s tennis idol is Serena Williams, good for her. I have not really seen much of Boulter’s game. The Brit won her first career singles title last year. She has been around on the tennis circuit since 2011.

Rafael Nadal Will Have His Hands Full

Rafael Nadal is scheduled to play at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. It can be a potentially dangerous first round match for the Spaniard, who is still trying to find his game after a longer layoff due to injury/surgery. Nadal tried to make a comeback earlier this year at Brisbane in January; however, he reinjured himself and has not played since. Personally, my POV, as much as I love Nadal and enjoy watching him, I think he should not even try to play this season. He should simply just say enough and walk away. What is he gaining from playing in 2024?
