Luca Nardi Defeats Novak Djokovic For Biggest Career Win

Luca Nardi

Luca Nardi confiscated the spotlight with his unexpected defeat of Novak Djokovic. This was impressive on many levels. The Italian got to his first round of sixteen at a Masters 1000 event. This was his first ever defeat of a top ten player, much less the number one ranked male tennis player. Nardi got through the qualifying rounds to make the main draw and he took advantage of his opportunity.

Luca Nardi Will Remember Indian Wells

Luca Nardi has been on tour since 2020, but he has been spending the majority of his time on the Challenger Tour. To say this victory was an upset is an understatement. All the momentum had shifted back on the Serbian’s side; however, the young Italian was not thrown off his rhythm. He just went right back to work and got the 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 defeat of Novak Djokovic. This is indeed one he will remember for the rest of his career and life.
