Amanda Anisimova Focuses On What Matters

Amanda Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova seems like she has been on the tour forever, and she has. However, in fairness, she turned professional in 2016 (almost ten years ago), making her about fourteen years old. We have always known about her power game. The issue was putting it all together consistently. It has not been smooth sailing for the American, who tragically lost her father in 2019.

Amanda Anisimova Took Time To Regroup

In 2023-2024, she took an eight-month hiatus from the sport to re-evaluate her life/career. She has also battled injuries like every athlete. It is so nice to see [4] Amanda Anisimova putting it all together and being rewarded for her efforts. She is a two-time major finalist, both came in 2025 (Wimbledon and the US Open). The interesting thing about this young lady is she can play on all surfaces well. Anisimova defeated fellow American, Peyton Stearns, 6-1, 6-4. Next up for the American is Xinyu Wang, who has a career high ranking of thirty-two. This is their first encounter, who will win the match? I put my money on Anisimova.

Jessica Pegula Amongst Victorious Americans

[6] Jessica Pegula defeated Oksana Selekhmeteva 6-3, 6-2. [9] Madison Keys made easy work of Katerina Pliskova, 6-3, 6-3, setting up an all-American showdown in the next round (Keys vs. Pegula). They are not just friends; they also co-host a podcast together. Interesting!

Do not be deceived by the score, [8] Ben Shelton had to work hard to defeat Valentin Vacherot 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(5). [9] Taylor Fritz also had to battle past the retiring Stan Wawrinka. Fritz won in four sets, 7-6(5), 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
