There is probably nothing sweeter for a tennis player than winning their first title. Of course, some may argue that winning your first Major title and becoming number one may be more rewarding accomplishments; however, I still believe that there is nothing that can reproduce the joy of that first title. It is what every tennis player has worked so hard to accomplish and without that first title, becoming number one is highly unlikely.

Naomi Osaka had the opportunity to experience the joy of winning her first title and it was perhaps a tad sweeter because it is a very prestigious and significant tournament on the WTA Tour. Now the expectations mount for the young Japanese player.

How will she handle the demands and manage her emotions now that everyone expects her to perform at this level every week?
